Eastin Hotel Penang is spicing the coming festival, Ramadan. This time they are using Malay Kampong style for the buffet. Without further ado, let me show you all the delicious dishes.

| One of the best dishes that i had for the buffet was this Gearbox Soup. It is a popular soup among Malay. It is very tasty and flavorful. It is also believe that it is great for guys that is why it is called gearbox soup. Gearbox refer to guys "panel" :) |

| Nasi tomato, it is one of the dish that go well with all side dish that i am going to introduce. |

| Ulam-ulaman with two different dips. Raw vegetable which believe to have alot great medication value come with two unique dips. They were sambal mempelam (Mango sambal) and sambal cincaluk. I am not a fan for the cincaluk as it is too salty to my liking. Where the mango sambal is something new to me. |

| Pucuk paku masak lemak, thick coconut gravy cook with fern shots. |

| Kerabu nangka muda, another appetizer you can get in the buffet. |

| Not to forget the tradisional Lemang and serunding ayam. Lemang was steamed to soft and not like the tradisional way of preparing it by burning it in the bamboo. Although the way of preparing is different but it still a great dish to try out. Serunding ayam is like spicy chicken floss. |

| Ikan keli cooked with chili merah. I not really into this dish because i prefer the deep fried with sambal on top of it. |

| All great food must end with sweet ending. So this time we had green bean durian sweet soup and some of the tradisional malay kuih muih. The green bean durian sweet soup is really some unique flavor that created by the chef. The durian doesn't overpower the dessert. Just a mild background flavor which give the green bean sweet soup more kick. It is a must try dessert. |
