ZEST BAR THAI SET LUNCH at GLOW Hotel

Hotel GLOW Penang a Funky, colorful and modern hotel in the heart of George Town. Zest Bar is currently having a Thai set lunch. There are a 3 choices of 3 course meal for you to choose from and they are serving from 11am till 5pm. It is a great place for family and friend gathering :) The daily set lunch shown below. If you not interested with the set lunch they you can go for their ala carte menu.

Miang Kam (RM8+) is sort of Thai tapas. The dish will consist of wild betel leaves, toasted coconut, dried shrimps, shallots, peanuts, mini ginger cubes with a punch of bird’s eyes chili, served with their special sauce. I would like it to be more sweet as it was the spicy side as i don't take too spicy food :P

Tom Kha Gai (RM12+), a white chicken soup with hints of species, galangal and lemongrass.

Tom Yam Goong (RM18+). This is sort of Red tom yam we Malayisian used to. Great flavor, spicy, and very colorful dish. Fresh prawn given the soup sweetness and go really well with rice.

Yam Woon Sen (RM12+), a glass noodles filled with vegetables, herbs and added steamed prawns. In fact this is an appetizer dish.

Gaeng Keow Wan (RM18+), my all time favorite dish. Pack with flavor and green. Go really well with rice. It is spicy, creamy from the coconut milk, extra texture from the broccoli but i prefer thai egg plant added in as well.

Som Tam (RM10+), a sour and spicy version of thai papaya salad for starter.
Kaeng Phet (RM18+). This is a authentic Thai spicy coconut milk red curry prawn.

Pad Thai (RM15+), Thai noodle fried with prawns, bean curds, lime, peanut, raw bean sprout and some soy sauce chilie padi.

Pad Kra Prao (RM18+), a minced meat (Chicken/beef) dish stir fried with Thai basil leaves, served with rice and an omelette.
Khanom Khao Mao (RM7+), one of the BEST dessert i had so far.  Super sweet banana were wrapped in grated coconut and sticky rice. The sticky rice give the dessert extra chewiness beside crispy after deep fried to perfect. It is a MUST TRY ITEM while u are there. Extra coconut cream were serve.

Sang Kaya Fak Tong (RM7+), another MUST TRY Thai Pumpkin Custard. It’s a unique dessert which person who don't like pumpkin will definitely blow your mind away. Sweet pumpkin with creamy custard with toasted sesame syrup and coconut cream to round everything together.

Below are the ambient of ZEST BAR at GLOW HOTEL.
