Meet Fresh Gurney Paragon Penang

Meet Fresh : a tale of 2 masters, Mr. & Mrs. Fu, who were persistent in creating and preserving the traditional taste of Taiwanese desserts. And Voila! Meet Fresh was born and all of us now get to taste the handmade & freshly prepared wholesome Taiwanese desserts. I just got back from Taiwan, and this visit to Meet Fresh made me long to be back in Taiwan again.

A great place to chill out and get your Taiwanese dessert fix. They are located at the ground floor of Gurney Paragon. You won't miss the shop as it is always crowded with people at night.

Clean kitchen to ensure hygienic preparation of the yummy desserts.

They have a wide range of choices to choose from. There's something for everyone, from cold to hot, sweet QQ mochi, Tofu, beverages.. the list goes on and on. It is a great place for the whole family.

This red gadget is given to you after you place your order, and it will light up and vibrate when your order is ready. Cool right?

Great ambiance with air conditioning.

They have a lot of seating so don't worry about waiting for tables.

I always impressed  by Taiwanese tableware. Bigger spoons compare to our local spoon size.

Meet Fresh Signature Herb Jelly (Hot), RM6.90. It comes with fresh Taro balls, honey beans, pearls and roasted peanuts. I love this hot dessert because it is not too sweet and great in flavor.

This signature dessert taste great served cold as well, Meet Fresh Signature Herb Jelly (Cold), RM6.90. Herb Jelly, Herb blended ice, Taro Balls and cream. Is a plus one for adding the high quality cream. It actually improve the aroma and creaminess of the dessert. Yum! is a MUST TRY item at MEET FRESH.

Another MUST TRY item is this black & white QQ Mochi, RM8.90. Chilled, QQ, sweet & fragrant brown sugar sauce topped with crispy coconut flake. It is quite expensive though but it definitely worth every RM you spend.  MUST TRY!!!

Little taro balls in white gourd tea with cream, RM 5.90.  This beverage was not too sweet, fragrant and great for me after all the desserts I had.

AUSSIE TUCKER AT SWEZ BRASSERIE, EASTIN HOTEL PENANG

Swez Brasserie, Eastin Hotel Penang start their year by serving Kangaroo nation buffet. Australia cuisine had been around us for some time but just never stand up as AUSTRALIA cuisine, such as DOME. Here you can really try out what Aussie cuisine for the whole month of January at Eastin Hotel Penang.

We start with appetizer , Uluru Calamari Salad. A simple yet amazing cooked calamari , topped grape, fish roll, herb and  served with walnut sauce.

Uluru Calamari Salad on my plate, look lovely right?

Followed by Chiko Roll. One of the best item i had during the meal. It had soft, tender and flavorful lamb filling rather then out local vegetable filling. Must eat with it special made sweet and mild spicy sauce.

Aussie Oyster Soup

It rather weird flavor for me but the oyster super good :)

Macadamia Crusted Fish Fillet was another great dish i had during the meal. Sea bass was so fresh and juicy. Love the skin coated with Macadamia. It is sweet and nutty. Go really well with the orange ginger sauce. The only down side of this dish was that the skin was hard but in a good way though. Just that if the skin can easily cut, it will be perfect.

Aussie Swiss Chicken, a rather normal dish for me but the onion sauce was good.

Sesame Carrot, a normal carrot topped with toasted sesame.
Onion Monegasque, nothing huhah for this dish as well.
Last but not least our dessert :)
Lamington Cake and Pavlova. Not used to the Eastin versoin of Pavlova and the cake was ok.
