Fullhouse Lifestyle Store & Cafe Penang - Grand Opening 11-11-11 @ Penang Times Square

Today is a very special day - lots of newly wed couples, and it's no different for shops as several new shops celebrate their GRAND OPENING on this day. Today alone, I was invited to 3 different restaurants to attend their grand opening. Among the most interesting invites I received was from the Fullhouse Lifestyle Store & Cafe. What's Fullhouse, you ask? It's the latest addition in Penang Times Square - a beautiful and cozy theme restaurant, and it's HUGE. Even before the grand opening, Penang was abuzz with talk about Fullhouse, and I was told that the food is comparable, if not better, than the food at Delicious

So I waited (& took many peeks at the boarded up shoplot where Fullhouse would be, each time I was at Times Square) for the day when Fullhouse would finally open its doors. Finally the day has arrived - Fullhouse opened its doors on a very special day, 11-11-11.

Somehow, to call it a restaurant is almost wrong - the word restaurant doesn't explain Fullhouse in all its glory. Fullhouse not just a restaurant, there are cute items for sale as well, clothing & fashion, PA system hall and (gasp) even a hair salon. Fullhouse even has wedding services available.

Let me take you on a tour through Fullhouse :)

Very impressive main entry. Love the color theme of WHITE with GREEN. The Fullhouse signboard is multicolor, I love red so I ended up taking several pictures in order to get the red color just right :)

Clockwise: 1- These three sheep sheep are just at the entrance. You won't miss seeing them when you walk in. 2- Some great wallpaper for all visitors to take pictures with. 3- Huge outdoor seating area, with glass walls covering the entire area. I know this is not a new idea but I believe this is the first time we're seeing this in Penang. 4- Outlook of the outdoor seating area.

Don't you just want to bring your loved one to have a romantic meal here?

Hmm, everything is ready for a walk in wedding :)

The lovely Fullhouse Mini, almost everyone took a picture with this car.

A cute (huge~) Tiffany statue welcomes you into Fullhouse. If Fullhouse were to charge RM1 for each person who took a picture with her, they would have a fortune.

Clockwise: 1- See how big Tiffany is? 2- There's even a traditional trishaw as deco. 3- The black sofas certainly stand out in contrast to all the white in the restaurant. 4- View from the top..

Christmas is coming - some great gift ideas..

If you love cute things, there is a good selection available for sale in Fullhouse. I am told that a special department handles the sourcing and procurement of all these cute items.

More pictures of the ambience at Fullhouse Penang.

Upper floor seating is close by the fashion & clothing display.

Did anything catch your eye?

Made in Korea? There's a fair selection of clothing available for you to get in a little bit of shopping while waiting for your meal to arrive.

For me, this was the biggest surprise - Fullhouse even has a hair salon! It is headed by The School Hair Academy.

Various posters you can find throughout the cafe.

Don't they look cute?

A big hall that can cater for a group of one hundred, located on the upper floor.

The passage to the toilet - the most important facility in any cafe :P

Cute little take away boxes.

Petit four selection, for your set lunch.

Left to right: 1- A drink called Tiramisu + magic ball (RM9.90). I didn't try the drink, but my friend told me that it's pretty good. 2- Honeydew Milk Shake (RM7.90).

Pan-Seared Dory Fish (RM16.90). This was recommended to me because of the unique sauce it's served with. The Dory fish is perfectly done, served with Asian greens, sauteed shitake mushrooms & lemon grass infused cream. This dish is very filling, because generous portion of vegetables and mashed potato served with it.

Over Roasted Chicken Parcel (RM22.90). This juicy roasted chicken was stuffed with mushrooms, sauteed daikon and Chinese herbs.

Creme Brulee (RM10.90). This was very good!

Tiramisu (RM14.90). Mascorpone cheese and sponge fingers dipped in expresso, topped with cocoa powder, do I need to say more?

Chocolate Brownie (RM11.90). This homemade chocolate brownie is topped with rich chocolate sauce & a tuile. A cream puff balances delicately on the side of the  brownie. The cake tasted like sat keh mah to me cause of the peanut used.
In conclusion - Penangites, rejoice! We have one more place to which we can bring our families and loved ones for a truly unique experience, fun times, and of course - good food.
