Weekend Penang -> Kuala Lumpur trip summary 3- Pepper Lunch, Kuala Lumpur

Weekend Penang -> Kuala Lumpur trip summary

2- Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur (Coming Soon, stay tune)
5- Home Sweet Home A.K.A 43 Cafe

One of our favorite place in KL, Pepper lunch. It is a Japanese hot plate restaurant and you get to cook your food at your hot plate. Meaning the food served is raw but the plate is really really hot. So beware when it is served.

Quote from their site, http://www.pepperlunch.com.my/:
Designed and patented in Japan, the unique cast iron plate is an integral part of Pepper Lunch's success. Thought a special electromagnetic cooker, the iron plate can heat up to 260 degree in 70 sec and remain hot at about 80 degree for more then 20 min. Meat grilled at this ideal hight temperature, remains tender and juicy and the plate retains heat and keeps the food deliciously warm.

Without further ado let see some real food :)

Remember this logo when you crave for some delicious steak.

Ambient at Pepper Lunch at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

We ordered the set which add another RM4.80 for drink and salad.

Simple salad but it was really good although the amount had size down compare to last time. It came with seaweed, salad, carrot, corn, chicken and thousand island sauce.

Our Rib eyes steak (RM36.80) but we prefer pepper steak (RM29.80) which is cheaper and less fat and no cartilage. It came with corn, long bean and mach potato. We asked to change the potato to some vege but the receptionist rejected us. WTF! We don't want so much carbo also can't ...

Anyway you can cook your steak till the degree you like. We made it medium raw as Cyn don't like bloody.

End up J have to finish this alone.

Love the honey brown sauce (Amakuchi) very much, very peppery, sweet, honeyish and super flavorful. If you don't like sweet then you will definately like the salty, garlicky soy sauce (Karakuchi).
