Texas Grill Promotion at EASTIN HOTEL PENANG

Crave for some cowboy food? This coming June (1 - 31 June 2012) Eastin Hotel Penang is pleased to introduce the succulent Texan grill dishes at Swez Brasserie. Without further ado let us see what they will offer for the Texas Grill Promotion month.

Texas wild potato soup 德式马铃薯浓汤. It is rather earthly taste due to the use of US potato with special herb. The potato was baked to caramelize so that it gave out a good potato aroma. It was then mix with cream and flour. I like it with a dash of salt and pepper. 

Grilled Shrimp and Strawberry Salad (草莓烤蝦沙拉)

It was rather a weird combination to me. Even before i had it the chef did mentioned that it will taste "special" and unique.  May be the  overpowering  cheese. Anyway I don't prefer this dish, cheese love might said otherwise.

Texas Broccoli and Turkey Slices Salad (德式火雞片與西蘭花沙拉). One of the best dish for the day.  The ingredient used in this salad really make me fall in love with salad again. Crunchy broccoli bite, crispy turkey bacon bits, smooth creamy mayo, great coconut flake aroma, nutty toasted almond, sweet carrot and sour olive, one word to describe YUM!

Texas BBQ Grilled Skewer (德州燒烤串). They had 3 choices to choose from lamb, chicken and seafood. They were served with 2 specially made sauce; BBQ sauce and yogurt mint sauce. The BBQ sauce was on watery side and the yogurt mint sauce was good. The yogurt sauce really bring out the skewer flavor. I added a lot yogurt sauce on all my skewer :)

Grilled Chicken with Honey Mustard Glaze (蜂蜜芥末醬烤雞). 

Grilled Beef with Tortilla (烤牛肉片與玉米薄餅). I love the way Eastin prepare their beef. The salsa that  came along with the dish boost up the flavor of the tapas. Sour & sweet go really well with the tender juicy beef. Btw i am a beef lover so i love all kind of beef dishes.

Texas Brownies (德州巧克力布朗尼).

American cheese cake. Can see the Chef specially design a bull horn on the cheese cake to bring out the Cowboy theme :)

I was served with specially design of both dessert in one plate. Same dish with different presentation make it more YUM! don't they?
