Day 1 KL Food Road Trip CNY 2012

After check in at The Nest we went to Pavilion KL to hunt for food. Although we had steamboat breakfast that leave over during reunion dinner, it was about 2pm. So we were hungry, especially me :)

First stop, Pavilion KL as it just 5 min drive from our guest house. We drove because the sky look dark so we worried that it will rain. After arrived we went to the top floor where a lot of food & beverage shop were held. Yeah we can see some of the shops were closed for the first day of Chinese New Year.

Pavilion KL had done a very good job on this Tokyo Street. Well decorated for the whole section . All stall inside were Japanese stall. There have a lot snack food as we have no idea what to had for lunch.

Some other decoration for the Tokyo Street.

Finally we decided to had Hokkaido Mille Crepe Cake for our first meal in KL.

We always love matcha. So without much decision making involve we choosed Matcha green tea Crepe Cake.

It is called, Macca Latte Mille Crepe Cake, RM10.50++ Per piece. It was a expensive starter for our lunch but it taste good doh.

You can taste the aroma of matcha green tea and the layers of crepe cake. It was a good choice doh.

After our light lunch, we decided to go for ben's for our main lunch for the day. We saw this shop for sometime and read some good review regarding this place. Price wise it was quite ok compare to the previous restaurant (Kampachi) we decided to go. We went to see the menu of Kampachi and turn back to ben's for lunch :)

After some window shooping we went for our dessert, beard papa's. Penang used to have a stall in Queensbay, but it has closed down. However we just find the cream puff here is better compare to Penang one. May be here sell better so the puff was fresher :p

Still not sure how they manage to make the puff so light and crispy.

We went for our usual choice. Cream Puff Vanilla RM4.80. The fresh cold cream was put into it upon ordered and dust with some icing sugar, Yum yum.

After my dessert cyn wanted her dessert as well. So we drop by Mochi Sweets. We fall in love with this Mochi while we went to Hong Kong 2010. So when she knew about this shop opened in Pavilion she always crave for it while we were in KL.

These were our ordered, Green Tea (RM3.50) and Blueberry Cream (RM4.00) Mochi.

They only have take away so here was our take away.

Cyn's dessert, needed to wait for 20minute for it to soften before can makan it :)

This was also one of our must try beverage in our makan list, Ochado 茶の道. In one of the review, Cyn read on phone was they serve the best tea compare to Chatime.

We order Ochado Matcha (RM7.50) with Grass Jelly (RM1). Don't feel they have the best beverage doh. Anyway we end our day with this sweet beverage.
